What is a licensing fee?

A licensing fee honors the creator's copyright by allowing churches to print the lyrics in bulletin inserts,  project the lyrics*, record the service, post video on the internet, etc.

The CCLI (Christian Copyright Licensing, Inc.) advises: "The copyright law is very clear on copying music. If you do not have express permission from the rightful owner of the song, you cannot make a copy. A copyright is an exclusive right given to an author of an original created work. It is an asset, a legal interest, protected by law. Included in the exclusive rights given to a copyright owner is the right to copy the work into any form, including digital, print, and recordings."

As a small independent composer, my works are not covered by a CCLI license; therefore, I am handling licensing myself.

The nominal fee is based on
church attendance and the number of services; please inquire here.

Thanks for your understanding and support, which makes future creation possible!

*Transparencies are available for $5.00 apiece.
